Now located on two campuses along the north shore of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Long Island Lutheran is a leader in Christ-centered education. Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School
Long Island Lutheran’s wooded 32-acre campus is located in the North Shore community of Brookville. Under the leadership of the Rev. Ed Stammel (Trinity Lutheran Church, Hicksville) and a group of dedicated pastors, 17 Lutheran congregations united in the late 1950’s to found a Lutheran high school to serve the Long Island community. The newly formed Lutheran High School Association of Nassau and Suffolk Counties purchased the former Deering Howe Estate built in the 1920’s as the site for the school.
